Compare and configure your rough terrain forklift instead of chasing fifteen quotes

Looking for a cheap rough terrain forklift that's tough, an all-terrain 4x4 forklift or a fair forklift price on direct factory purchase with no middleman? machines-direct is the collective's comparator: it gathers Chinese forklifts in the same columns, for a comparison that's finally fair. Filter by capacity, put 2 to 4 models side by side, then configure the one that fits and add it to your Selection.

Each brand only receives its own machine; the group-buying collective supports you on the French side. Prices aren't shown on the site: the brand's accredited rep quotes your exact configuration, direct from China, on the group's negotiated terms — including 12 extra months of warranty.

Which rough terrain forklift to choose: capacity, ground clearance, drivetrain

A rough terrain forklift (3.5 to 6 tonnes here) differs from an industrial forklift by its 4x4 drivetrain, high ground clearance and lugged agricultural tyres: it works on mud, slopes, sand and soft ground, where a standard forklift bogs down. Ideal on construction sites, farms, sawmills and quarries. Look at capacity, lift height, the diesel engine (Yunnei and equivalents, emissions rating shown exactly as supplied by the brand), canopy or enclosed cab for winter work, and the forks. The comparator lines all these fields up.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Chinese rough terrain forklift cost?

Prices aren't shown on machines-direct: each configuration is quoted by the brand's accredited rep, on direct factory purchase, on the collective's negotiated terms. Configure the model (capacity, cab, forks), send your request, and get your best price with no middleman — plus the 12 extra months of warranty.

How is it different from a standard forklift?

The 4x4 drivetrain, ground clearance and lugged tyres: an industrial forklift is made for hard flat floors, the rough terrain one for mud, slopes and soft ground. If your loads move between shed and field, it avoids bogging down and re-handling with a telehandler.

Is there a version with a cab?

Yes: depending on the model, an open canopy or an enclosed cab (heating optional) for winter and rain. The cab is configured directly on the model's sheet before your quote request.

What engine standard do these forklifts meet?

The emissions rating is shown on each sheet exactly as supplied by the brand (Euro V, EPA…). The comparator never converts one standard into another: you see the manufacturer's original value.

What uses: construction, farm, sawmill?

Construction sites (block pallets, big bags), farms (bins, fertiliser), sawmills, quarries, nurseries: anywhere palletised loads meet difficult ground. For high, offset lifts, look at telescopic loaders instead — more categories are coming to the comparator.

Do I need an operator licence?

In professional use, the employer must ensure the operator is trained — in France the CACES R482 or R489, depending on the machine, is the reference certificate. It's not tied to buying the machine, but plan your team's training alongside your order.
